Coupé Fiat - 2000

The production of the models 16V, 20V and 20VT was carried on until mid 2000.

The special batch was simply called "Edition" as Fiat finally said goodbye to the Coupé.
This also as "Interprétation Spéciale" introduced model contrasted with special wheels, fawn leather seats in waffle optic with side bags, automatic air conditioning, radio- and telephone installation, brightly highlighted instruments as well as a silver coloured central console and an equally coloured radiator grill.
Body colour options were "Azzurro Astrale" or "Moon Grey".

Precise production numbers of the Coupé offered as 16V and 20VT are unknown but it is definitely one of the rarest models.

Some late 2000 coupés also have got seats in waffle optics, though not in the typical light brown of the "Edition".

A succesor of the Coupé Fiat has not appeared and is not planned until further notice. Sporty models of the Fiat group appear at Alfa Romeo, Fiat now altered course again to the small car- and compact segment.

About 10,000 of them were sold on the german market. Though this is not a low volume production it still makes the Coupé exotic on the streets, following its ancestors footsteps.
A classical status seems to be likely even though several years have to pass for that.
Also the market has to be cleared from the modified mutants.
